Exhibit Guide
I am just sitting here reflecting on yet another wonderful SGNA National Conference. Even after working in GI for 26 years and no matter how many conferences I attend, I always learn something I did not hear before. This year, I attended a great talk from a surgeon on how much under diagnosis of GERD and Barrett’s really are due to the availability of over-the-counter medications. Also, that many family practitioners are treating reflux symptoms but the patient has never had an EGD to truly see the extent of the damage to the esophagus. WOW! Eye opening!!

Also, the things that you cannot put a price tag on are the networking with peers and making many new friends from around the world, and connecting with friends you have made over the years. This truly the most enjoyable part of the conference. It is fun to find out that labs all over the country are doing things exactly like you, or maybe they are doing it in a different way that you would like to bring back and share.

In addition, let’s not forget the vendors and seeing all the latest products as well as a re-demonstration of a seldom used item. This year I also got to actually meet in person someone I speak to on the phone often. She has been a tremendous help and it was great to put a face to a name and “thank” that person.

I met some of the most wonderful people because I was awarded a scholarship to attend the 42nd SGNA conference and for that I am truly grateful. Without this grant, I would not have been able to attend unless I paid for the entire conference on my own. So how do I thank WSGNA for this opportunity, except to THANK YOU FOR THE PRIVILEDE AND OPPORTUNITY and say that I am PROUD TO BE A WSGNA, SGNA AND CGRN member.

Sincerely,
